Have you been on your travels, returned with a haul of terrific holiday photographs, and now want to show off your terrific shots in more imaginative ways than usual? These offers for photographers will help you out of a rut, whether you want to display your travel photos digitally or in print.
We have two pages about displaying and sharing your photos:
Digital photo display has moved on - you can get super-thin digital photo frames and recordable 'talking' digital photo frames - your family will love them, especially if you have little kids or an elderly aunty who struggles with reading. And teachers and retailers are finding innovative ways of using them too. Take a look at our varied selection and see if you don't feel inspired! (Use them for audiophotography too).
If you've done all the usual photo gifts, why not try something new - and move on from the printed page. Now you can turn the same photos into a movie - with music or a voiceover - and you don't need any expertise to do it! Animoto is a friendly online system that will make your photographs rock (or swing, or flow gently by . . .)!
An academic approach to the role of sound in photography - audiophotography - treating it a new medium in its own right. Detailed 'user studies', consumers' own critiques of new media content they have generated themselves, an overview of audiophoto content and technology.

So what's new?
An amazing - and highly popular - talking photo album for babies. Record a special message to go with each photo and wherever your child opens the 'book', your specially recorded message automatically plays. You could make a family photo album with messages recorded by the people in the photos - or create your own audio storybook!

A message recording album designed for adults - record audio notes each photo - especially useful for people who stuggle to read your handwriting and for dementia sufferers.
Kodak and Sony are two of the high profile players in the digital photo frame market - but it's woth looking at others too.
7dayshop digital frames are interesting . . . from an excellent value 7" TFT Single Function Digital Photo frame for £16.99 to a "Red Heart Shape" TFT Digital 1.1" Photo Frame on a Keyring (they had a £2.99 offer on that one when I last looked).
For sleek thin-ness I love the 7" Slimline Silver Digital Photo Frame (by Living Images) -it's a turn- it-sideways-and-it-vanishes sort of thing!. I find it hard to resist such space-saving, easy-on-the-eye products . . .
On the other hand, the 15" Natural Wood Digital Photo Frame (again by Living Images) makes your image look like a nicely framed watercolour painting. The image is set off by a mountboard effect within the frame. The resolution is good, and it accepts MPEG video, MP3 audio and JPEG images (up to 12 Megapixel). It comes with a 2GB SD Card, but also accepts Compact Flash, XD, Multimedia Card (MMC) and Memory Sticks - and it comes with a full function remote control.
I like this so much I'll give the spec:
Calendar, Clock and Alarm functions.
Resolution: 1024 x 768, TFT active matrix LCD screen.
Contrast Ratio: 250:1
Luminosity: 250cd/m2 max
Screen ratio: 4:3
Consumption 24 Watts
Working temperature: -20 to 65 degrees Celsius.
The list above also suggest points you might like to compare when looking at any digital photo frame.
There's another 15" frame from the same manufacturer which looks very similar and has good
reviews on amazon. It appears to have a lower spec, is sold without a memory card (but it has the same card readers built in) and without the extra functions, but actually costs more.
Hmm, so many choices . . . perhaps you'd better go and do your own browsing for
Digital Photo Frames
The lovely colours and soft feel are wonderful way of making photos inside safe plastic pockets intosomething beautiful for a child. The mirror at the back of the book is a master stroke - having looked at the people in the photos children can then look themsleves!
